Articulating the thoughts behind the work is not an easy exercice and each time I tried to wrote one I felt that I was betraying myself in every single word. So what I'm going to try to do here is hopefully something slightly different than was I wrote in the past.

Although I have always been fascinated by photographic images, it is only since 2006 that I have been capturing my own. I started shooting short films and then I discovered that still photography was another complementary way to tell a story and to depict feelings. What I like about it is its apparent simplicity and the loneliness in the creation process. Unlike video, in photography there is nothing between the creator and the shutter button. This gives the photographer a lot of power and freedom for spontaneous creation, everything can be created, dismantled and recreated in half a second.

I truly hoped and it is the intent of this website, that some images in this portfolio will evoke feelings or trigger a thoughts in the viewer that might not have been previously appreciated.
